EC Worked with the Seahawks and Shep films acting as creative director and set builder for this short film. Inspired by the epic play and big personalities of the Seattle Seahawks, Monster Versus Seahawks channels vintage Japanese Kaiju films, but with a PNW lean. When the city of Seattle falls under attack by giant mutated beasts, who better to save the day than the Hawks?
Making of Seahawks vs Monsters
Commissioned EC as the interior designers, artists, and branding agency. Our main objectives were to develop and define all branding, to create an installation for the building’s exterior, paint a large scale art piece for the bar area. The final product boasted a converted truck embedded into the side of the building from which parfaits are served, a fictional landscape wall hanging that serves as the focal point of the bar area, and six-hundred square feet of hand illustrated, hand screened wallpaper, as well as all fixtures, flooring, colors, and materials. Details from the restaurant were woven into graphics from the parfait truck and scenes from the bar were worked into the wallpaper, creating a unified narrative. Throughout the process we worked closely with Heliotrope Architects to achieve these highly integrated results.
Trove has been voted by GQ as top 25 most outstanding restaurants in the country. And one multiple design awards to date.
The work displayed here is a cross section of projects. I created all art work.
The following is a brief assortment from the thousands of products I have designed.

Provoking thought, facilitating discussion, and making the space feel like home with interactive pieces for the building’s communal areas were our goals at VIA6. The finished result was a large-scale Space Needle portrait for the elevator lobby, Seattle icon-based toile wallpaper for the mezzanine restrooms, 6 floors of paintings, and a street scene based around the notion of community, utilizing silhouettes and patterns to highlight individuality within a larger group.
Through creating a piece that was equal parts form and function, something as simple as a cabinet would serve as a talking point that inspires wonder and conversation. The outcome was a twenty-three foot ship from which the exterior hull has been removed to expose the vessel’s interior. This uncovered space exists as a series of cubes alternating between empty spaces for storage, and cabins with intricate sculptures that each play a part in an ongoing, cohesive narrative.
The project was featured in over 20 publications and nominated for the James Beard award.
The client wanted a piece that would be visually dynamic and evoke a sense of place, so anyone who entered the structure would feel as though they were exiting the store and stepping into the wild. What emerged was a comforting evening campfire set in a snowy tranquil forest. Splashes of color, and small details from the sound of forest, to the snow filled trees, and a tiny scene resting on a tree bow where an octopus leg bursts out of a barn, create a sense of discovery and displacement.
TREASURE & BOND | EVO
TREASURE & BOND - A modified vintage Steelcase table housed an inset diorama. The enclosed scene was a moment frozen in time, just as the world was ending as predicted by the Mayan calander. The table was displayed at Treasure & Bond in SoHo New York.
EVO - In an unexpected way, we wanted to build a timeline highlighting the client’s most notable moments throughout their history, draw attention to the building’s technical service entryway, and create signage for the store’s art gallery. The reinvention of a standard timeline resulted in a massive geometric wall hanging, featuring a prismatic tessellation of events flowing chronologically from left to right. Drawing attention to the unused exit leading into to the building’s service shop is an archeological extraction of a fictional midtown bakery. We also handcrafted a raw porcelain & neon gallery signage.
In this project I was hired by Kings hard cider to create logos, the brand system and packaging.

This project was the height of their technological capabilities coupled with solid design and narrative.
